Some families arrive quietly. The Stoj family arrives like a happy marching band. As a Sydney based Family Photographer Sydney, I absolutely love that energy. Every session with them feels exciting, loud, and beautifully unpredictable. Thankfully, my camera enjoys chaos almost as much as I do.
I first photographed the Stoj family many years ago. Back then, the kids were tiny humans. They were full of questions, snacks, and unstoppable energy. Now, they are confident teenagers with even bigger personalities. However, some things never change. They still arrive smiling, laughing, and ready to take over the studio completely.
Watching families grow feels incredibly special. Moreover, seeing their confidence evolve feels even more rewarding. The Stoj family always trusts my creative direction. Although, they usually add their own hilarious twists. Somehow, every session becomes louder than the last. My poor studio walls deserve an award for endurance.
Their favourite studio spot remains the chaise lounge. Honestly, they treat it like royalty treats a throne. They sprawl across it dramatically every single session. Meanwhile, I quietly attempt to maintain professional composure behind the camera. Sometimes I succeed. Sometimes I laugh too hard.
The best photographs happen when families feel completely comfortable. Fortunately, the Stoj family treats my Ashfield studio like their second lounge room. Shoes disappear quickly. Personalities appear instantly. Additionally, the kids never hesitate to make themselves completely at home.
